Imprinted concrete driveways in Wigan
Concrete poured as one slab, then stamped with a pattern and coloured to look like brick, slate or cobbles. No joints, so no weeds. From Wigan across the North West.

What you get
A drive with no joints for weeds, that sweeps clean and sends the rain where it should go.
- Old drive dug out and taken away
- Borders and edging to finish it off
- Drainage channels where the water sits
Why imprinted concrete
No joints, no weeds
Because it's one slab, there are no gaps between blocks for weeds or moss to grow in, and a sweep keeps it clean.
Patterns and colours
The concrete is stamped while it's wet with a pattern, like brick, cobble or slate, and coloured to suit the house. A border in a different pattern or colour frames it.
Looking after it
It's sealed when it's laid, which brings out the colour and protects the surface. A fresh coat of sealer every few years keeps it looking new.

Questions about imprinted concrete
Does an imprinted concrete drive need planning permission?
Imprinted concrete doesn't let water through, so a front drive over 5 square metres needs the rain to run off into a lawn, a border or a drain on your own land. If it drains onto the road, it needs planning permission. A drainage channel that takes the water into your garden or a soakaway is the usual way round it.
How do you keep imprinted concrete looking good?
Give it a sweep and a wash now and then, and have it resealed every few years. The sealer brings the colour back and protects the surface.
Imprinted concrete or block paving?
Imprinted concrete if you want no joints and no weeds. Block paving if you want the classic look and the option of lifting a single block to repair it.
