Questions from Warrington
Do you cover Warrington?
Yes. Warrington is about 11 miles from our base in Wigan, and we cover Warrington, Great Sankey, Penketh, Orford, Birchwood and Stockton Heath (WA1 to WA5). Ring Gaz on 07923 485811 or send a few photos on WhatsApp.
Do I need a dropped kerb in Warrington?
Yes, if you'll drive over the pavement to get onto the drive. In Warrington you apply to Warrington Borough Council. They can do the work, or give permission for your own contractor. Your drive needs to be at least 5 metres from the house to the boundary so the car doesn't hang over the pavement, and on an A, B or C road you need planning permission first. More on Warrington Borough Council's dropped kerb page.
Do I need planning permission for a new drive in Warrington?
Not usually. A new front drive doesn't need planning permission if the surface lets water through, or the rain drains into a lawn or border on your own land. If it's over 5 square metres, solid and drains onto the road, it does, and in Warrington you'd apply to Warrington Borough Council.
How much does a new driveway or patio cost in Warrington?
Every job is priced on its size, the material and what has to come up first. Send a few photos on WhatsApp to 07923 485811 and Gaz will give you a free price. If it's worth a visit, he'll come out and measure up.
